Credits
All songs written, arranged, and performed by Twelfth Night; produced by Greg Walsh and Twelfth Night.
Recorded live at the Target Club, Reading, England, 15 and 16 January 1981 (G-087 and G-088). Mixed at Crow Studios, Surrey, England, January or February 1981. Engineers: Greg Walsh and Pete Kunzler.
Coverpainting and design by Candace Pridgeon, © 1981. (Candice Pridgeon was the girl Rick Battersby was seeing.) Note that the moon and clouds are the same as on the covers of The Electra Tape and The First Tape Album.

Info
Shortly after the release of The Electra Tape, Electra left the band (or was asked to leave), leaving the band with a recently released tape including a vocalist, while being instrumental again. They needed an instrumental record. And this time, it was going to be an LP.

"Für Helene Part I"
The short version, as the long version was never played since parts of it were transferred to Sequences (as can be heard in the versions of both songs on Skan and The First Tape Album). Here, it is preceded by an intro leading into the song. For long I thought this was part of the song (the band had written new intros or endings to their songs before), but later I found out (from a live recording) they used this intro a couple of times leading into a different track than Für Helene Part I. I guess they used this intro on most if not all of the gigs around this time, but have no proof of that.

"After The Eclipse"
It has a long hypnotic keyboard intro and outro, with a driven, powerful middle section. Typical TN sound. A great song, and I have never heard it on another recording. Didn't the band like it enough?

"East To West"
A longer instrumental. This one was played many times, and under many different titles as well. One recorded title is After Office Hours.

"Sequences"
The longest recorded version of it at 19:56. What a great song - the evolving sections into others, slowly or promptly; moving guitar solos, and aggressive ones... It tells a story even without Geoff's brilliant lyrics.

Re-issues
The two gigs the band did at the Target Club in Reading, on January 15 and 16 of 1981, were recorded for this album. From these recordings, the four tracks that appeared on the album were selected. French label MSI re-issued the LP on CD. I think because they released it without having a contract made up and signed by the band, the addition of any bonus tracks could not be discussed. I really hope the remainder of these recordings (both dates, full gigs please!) will be released some day.

This version of Für Helene Part I was also included on the compilation Collectors Item (on the LP, not the CD).
