Davy Jones of The Monkees fame did a live show at the Kosei-Nenkin Hall in Shinjuku, Japan, in 1982. An LP, Laserdisc, and single (Sixteen) were released without Jones' knowledge.
The TN link is that Andy Sears co-wrote the songs I Love You Forever and Baby, Holdout.

In 2001, a bootleg CD (or maybe just a CDR?) was released from a vinyl copy of the LP.
